Running without emissions pump
My friend has a 83 or 84 Bronco II. The emmisions pump was taken off, and it started to run crappy. What vacuum hoses and wires have to be plugged or rerouted to get it to run good again.

I don't know for sure, but it can be done. When I got my 85, the pump was still there, but most of the rest of the plumbing for it was in a box in back of the rear seat. I never could figure out how all those valves and hoses fit back together, it seemed to run okay, so I left it all alone. I'm planning on just pulling the pump and putting a shorter belt on it (also drives the alternator) whenever I get around to it. I did cap off the metal tube that comes up from the exhaust manifold though, as I was getting quite a bit of exhaust leaking up through that valve at the end of the tube (copper pipe cap split on the sides, plenty of J-B Weld, and a smallish heavy duty hose clamp took care of it)
