Possibly the clutch on the fan isn't working correctly to pull enough air also. Not sure how to test that. The radiator block check might be just feeling for areas that are cooler. Have you checked out some of the other forums on here? There is a dedicated section for 91-97 trucks I believe, be good to ask there also

Good morning chief woodchuck Jim, other woodchucks and woodchuck imposters. Glad you all are here this frosty morning. Sixteen degrees down here in the hollow by the river. Looks to be a pretty day though. Love the supplemental heater in the truck - almost instant heat from the electric heater. The motor won't warm up for 20 miles.
