drive line clunk
Can someone help? I have a 2001 F150 supercrew with a clunk noise after shifting from reverse to drive after stepping on the gas. After you stop and give it gas again the noise is there again.The truck has 34,700 miles and has been to 2 ford dealers which heard the noise but could not fix the problem. They replaced the drive shaft but the clunk is still there. Also when driving if you let off the gas and then get back on it .Not the same noise but alot of drive line slob is noticeable. Can someone please help me as the ford service dept. cant seem to. Thanks Brad West.

This is all over the superduty forum from time to time. Take the driveshaft down and pull the rubber boot back and grease the slip joint. It's dry and that's why it's clunking.
