300 stroker engine
I can't seem to find anything on this, and everything I find in a forum is always just forgotten about, does anyone know a way to stroke a 300, because I'm trying to decide on what to use. I'll use the 300 if I can stroke it and get some more power, if not I'll probaly use a stroked 460.

I asked the same thing, they said that the six has a bad enuff rod ratio already and some othter stuff about heads.
I would like to see it done with 4.500" (340ci)stroke, Crower makes custom cranks have the heads ported get some custom pistons, maybe rods. lots of tq and good MPG

Clifford used to make a 4.38" stroker kit for the 300, perhaps they still do. The problem is that the head would need a LOT of rework to breathe well enough to accomodate that much more displacement. You'd also need a pretty trick cam because you need a lot more lift but you wouldn't want to increase duration any more than absolutely necessary since the resulting engine is not going to pull any revs. Why bother?
