ReBill Reports??
Get well Bill!
You are doing much better than I was....LOL
I DO take pain meds...just about every day.... Oxycodone ...10 Mg.
I need a ball joint replacement in my left hip....but after the hernia...I am super chicken ...If I do not do much around the house...I do not take them.....but if I want to do much walking or standing it is a must.
I was in NO way trying to worry you with the info I was telling you about the after effect of the surgery......I just like to be told the Truth about what is to come...
One funny thing that happened when I was waking up after the operation..
I was just coming to when the pain hit me......My Mother and wife were coming into the large recovery room where there were about 10 others and family recovering. I threw off all the covers on me and was trying to sit up and look down to see why I was hurting so bad...My Mother and wife ran to me trying to cover my complete nikkid body up..Mother said..."what are you doing"???
I said...very loudly....I am trying to see what is wrong with my right Nut!!! It feel like some Son Of a Beach is standing on it...
That is how my recovery started....I bet it was something for all those other people in the recovery room to hear and see.
Pain Meds....Your body will heal faster with those meds than with out...The body in pain will try to inhibit the pain if it is bad...and not put as much resources into the healing.
If you have never taken pain meds.....YOU MUST drink a large amount of water each time you take the pain meds...at least a large glass full.
Do NOT follow the directions on the bottle.....you take just enough to take the sharp pain away....and no more..
You do want to feel some pain...that lets you know on how much you can do with out causing things to get worse..You body will heal faster if it is relaxed and not fighting severe pain..
Remember.....No coughing...clearing throat....sneezing...Hiccups and extreme laughing...If you have to do any of these thing a fat fluffy pillow.......You can hug that pillow...That helped me a lot...
Rest Easy and do not forget about some sympathy Loving....

Agree with that.
After surgery the pain pattern is as follows: moderate to severe pain: day one and two Mild frequent pain; day three till day 7 mild, intermittent pain subsequently. The pain lasts for a few minutes, and occurs ever day o two initially, then once to twice a week, and gets rarer and rarer with time. By three months is usually rare, less than once a month.
Good luck.
Thanks again for all you guys thinking of me. I really appreciate the thoughts and prayers

now that you are feeling a little better, I thought I'd post a picture of my garage for you!
Yeah, tranny, tcase, drive shafts, all laying out in a mess. Don't have much space so it gets messy.
To let you know my progress of my first BIG job,
I have a resurfaced flywheel LFW-140 and new pilot brg installed, opened bw-1356Tcase and resealed, purchased an 07-154 Luk clutch kit off ebay, should get it on monday so it looks like tranny will be going in on tuesday night. Got a friend coming to help with tranny jack. Hoping it goes smooth. So far so good. ohh. and yeah those pictures crammed way back in the corner are the fabulous four from the movie Tombstone (top) and picture of Bo, Luke, Daisy, the general, and Cooter with his autograph (bottom). I have another picture in my kennedy toolbox of my grandad (who was really good transmission guy) and his 11 brothers. Wished he was still around to help. He would be proud of my work I think.
The garage has been cleaned up a lot since that was taken. It's tight but very organized. I'd like to someday get a roll around box and free up my bench of two top boxes. Thanks for all your help man! Glad you are one the mend. I'm gonna come show you my truck when I get back on the road!
Glad to see you on here Bill. Hoping for a speedy recovery! I'm sure you will be back at it in no time.
That is AWESOME to hear....Just do not over do it...
You are The Man......and my hero....

That is me for sure
Glad to see you posting, bill!

(Oops, we should prob. not try to make Bill laugh....)
+1 on the meds; my FIL got addicted to them in his last year or so. The less of them you do, the easier to ditch them when the time comes.
Good to hear from you Bill.
