Do we have a 2015 schedule yet?

 

Nothing has be set. Members are encouraged to talk about possible meeting places and times. If someone wants to have one, that would be great. The Ky Chapter has not been very active unfortunately. There are several members here, but getting together as a group really hasn't been a priority as of late. But, it would be great if we could meet.

 

My truck is in the torn-down project stage, and might not be back on the road until next year, but I still plan on attending several shows this year.

April 24-25 is the first of the season show in Somerset.
May 14-16 is the F100 Super nats. (Even though this is in TN, I will be at this show on saturday.)
May 29-30 will be the 100th show in Somerset.
June 26-27 is another Somerset show.
July 24-25 is Somerset.
August 6-9 is the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville. (In the past 22 years since moving here from CA, I have missed maybe 2 or 3 times this show. I plan on being at this show again this year with a bunch of my Gran Torino buddies.)
August 28-29 in Somerset again, and I think this show might be in conjunction with the power tour.
Sept 25-26 is Somerset again.
Oct 23-24 is Somerset.
Oct 23-25 is the Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville GA. ( I sometimes attend this show with my Torino buddies.)

The Somerset folks usually do spotlight marks for their shows, but I don't think they have been announced yet. I will attend some of these shows in Somerset, but maybe not all of them. This is also not a representation of all of the shows around KY by any means. There are many smaller shows here in Lexington and the surrounding areas that I will try to attend also.

 

Those events would be fun for sure! Perhaps you could start a thread outlining those events, and post reminders as the dates come close! This way, everyone that subscribes to the thread will be reminded of the event and hopefully some of us can make it to some of them. While you are at it, you could list some of the local events too. Lexington is a good central location for many of our members. Somerset would be closer for some of our Eastern Ky Members, as well as some of our Western Ky members.

 

I lived in Somerset last year....to bad I didn't have this truck then...Plus I still have a gf that lives in Hazzard.... So I may be game to hit one or two of these Somerset shows...

 

Im from Somerset. Summer Nights cruise is a great show!!

 

We may have to try and meet up the next time I am down there....

I will be looking for a rock quarry in that area at some point this summer to regravel my gf's driveway....

 

I did not make it to Somerset this past weekend due to weather. Dang gum Tornado Warnings and hail the size of baseballs.

 

Is there any information on the 2015 schedule? My truck is currently under construction, but I would still like to meet up.
