You can pull the connector off the ipr and it will default to 700 psi. Check all your wiring and battery terminals. Check for water or contamination in your injector module. Thats all free. Does the engine die on you or can you rev it up when the rpms drop? Does it happen to a cold engine or once it fully warms up? This would help to diagnose the truck.
Check for oil in the ipr electrical connector as well.
Is IPR injection pressure regulator?
Couldn't find ipr o rings assuming this is what's needed-
Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator Seal
There's 3 brands to choose from
Dorman, standard motor products, and delphi
What's the best of those 3?
I buy motorcraft or a name brand when I can.
It never does it when I first start it it seems to b after it warms up after 5-8 mins then I can drive 20 mins with no problems but never made past 30 mins
It's not fuel pressure injector regulator, its an oil injection pressure regulator, so no, that's not it. I don't know if they have it. If not, go to dieselorings.com, you'll find the oring kit and it's cheap.
From what you're saying, I'd get these orings to have, could very well be your problem. Does it always restart right away or does it take a little while before it does?
What f250 is talking about is the icp, not the ipr. It won't run with the ipr unplugged.

Sometimes restarts right away if not then has to sit at least 10 mins.
So what's ICP stand for? I know not insane clown posse in this case lol

You're thinking ICP. If you unplug the IPR it'll never start
Correct me if I'm wrong but crank and cam sensors that are going bad tend to fail when hot. Also hot oil slips past bad seals and o rings easier when hot. That can help narrow it down.
Cam sensors go bad any way you can possibly think. They are bad out the box. Some last a couple hundred miles some several thousand mile. It's not rally a hot cold issue with them.
If it's a non restart problem sometimes like your getting. The first thing I'd do then at this point if its not the CPS is to go after the IPR.
I cannot find the link to making the wrench and how to get it out to help you.
Most likely the IPR is sticking from being gummed up, or the o-rings are bad.
There are 2 very very important parts on a 7.3 PSD.
1 is the CPS/CPM.
This times the motor.
The second is the IPR.
These are the 2 fussiest parts on the whole truck.
The IPR is a pressure regulator for the oil pressure on the injector line. If it sticks or malfunctions, the truck cannot run right.
It's a needle valve and a piston. This stuff is all precision fit and if it gums up or gets womped out, it will do really crazy ****.
