87 2.3l injector harness??

I acquired an 87 ranger 2wd auto, it sat about 8 years and the mice decided it would make a good home . I have all the wiring fixed other than one little problem, they chewed the injector harness completely off at the 4 wire plug at the rear of the engine. I built a new harness and have everything soldered together. My only question is what the flyin heck are the red and red/white wires for coming from the 4 wire plug? I found an injector diagram and the tan and tan/orange wires are the only 2 used for the injectors but I couldn't track down the red wires.

Theres a solid red 5 wire splice. One wire is power from the EEC power relay, the other 4 to each injector.

Injector 2&3 are spliced to the tan/red wire which connects to pin 59 of the EEC.

Injector 1 & 4 are spliced to tan/orange which connects to pin 58 of the EEC.

And heres how it works. With the engine running the EEC relay is closed & sends 12 volts to the in injectors. The EEC pulses the voltage from the injectors & fires them 2 at a time.

There was a solid red wire that connected all 4 injectors together and went to some sort of sensor or something of the sort that's located about halfway down the driverside of the block by the bellhousing. The plug is only a 4 pin so im not sure if they had a design change or if I just got the oddball truck haha

Unless that sensor wire went into the plug and the solid red went to the plug too. Everything is chewed into a bunch of pieces so its kinda hard to piece it back together without having another truck here to look at

There are two sensors on the drivers side of the engine. Oil pressure and temperature gauge/light. One has white/red stripe{oil pressure} and the other red with white stripe{coolant} for 85 models.
Oil pressure sender or switch is screwed into the side of the cylinder head and the coolant sender or switch is screwed into the side of the block, below and a bit to the left of the oil sender or switch. They are both single connection devices, and have an elbow push-on electrical connector. If you ground the wire, ignition ON, the lights should light, or the gauges peg.
I'd bet the 87 & 85 are pretty close. I don't see a need to change the colors of a wiring harness arbitrarily.
