Im getting ready to do a motor and swap on my 66 f100 while doing the crown Victoria front end swap. The wrecking yard im getting the stuff from has a 2011 with 11k on it hit hard from the rear I can get the motor trans and front suspension all for 1500 which to me seems like a good deal. The only problem is The intake from edelbrock and MOD 6 ignition controller says they work on 1999 - 2004. Does anyone here know why or if their is a way around this? Also I plan on using the Ushift controller from Bauman. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Is the 05-up a 3 valve instead of a 2v?

 

Pretty sure he is talking about getting it all from a CVPI. 2005+ has the stupid TBW (throttle by wire), although one good thing is they have the best intake available and of course the highest hp. Most, if not all, of the intake improvement is in the air box and MAF, I'd venture to guess an "old" style TB intake would bolt right up to a 2005+ block. IF I still had my '01 around I'd compare i to me '08 but I sold it a few weeks back. Might be able to just switch a throttle body on.
