Wondering if these are what they say they are called my ford dealer and says no. Says there off an 98 Eddie Bauer

1997-2003 F-150 & Expedition Mirrors

 

They look like the ones on my my 97 EB.

 

They have the singles that are the dots shape of an arrow and on the glass it says single all the heated ones I see say heated on the glass.

 

I think for a 97-99 with the turnsignal in the mirror

 

I don't think there heated but just have the turn single arrows

 

So does the ad.

 

I guess what I am asking your help on is physicaly they will fit and yes they have turn singles in them but since my ford dealer doesn't show a heated and single mirror for that year they most likely not heated just the single ones. So either the seller got sold heated single mirror when he bought them or is trying to pull a fast one. So you guys think there heated single mirrors or just single ones.

 

Ask if he can send you a photo of the electrical connector. The connector and number of wires will tell the tale.

 

Ok just emailed him so how many wires are needed to have heated and single both

 

There are different connectors with wire counts ranging from 5 to 15 depending on the year and options. It's much easier for you to post the picture and then we can identify it, rather than for us to post every possible connector.

 

I think the dealer is correct. they"re most likely off the eddie bauer edition because they're painted and the XLT was chrome. The eddie bauer in 97 and 98 had LED turn signals in the glass but not heated, in 99 i think they went to the signals on the housing instead of the glass and then had the heated option . The glass with the LED signals in them were really expensive to replace (had to replace mine) but looks nicer i think.

 

Think dealer said
2002 went to heated and single but single is set on the housing not the mirror

 

thats sounds right, ive personally never seen a 97 or 98 with heated and signal. i think possibly 98 navigator had heated mirrors but really not sure if the signals were in the glass or not on those.

i stand corrected. . thats a first for me, i even researched after you said that and i cant find one with signal in the glass and heated, never knew those 2 options were available. my 97 eddie bauer had the signal but no heat and cost me an arm and a leg to replace the glass when it started to go see through.
