I have an odd problem and have tried almost everything that I've read here to fix. This is my 3rd 7.3 and never experienced this problem. My 2000 7.3 has a power issue. It is a dog without the 80hp DP tune and a dog when towing all the time, plus only getting 15mpg on highway no load (3.73 gears), but whats odd is that I can't get over 1000 degrees with pyro nor can I get over 15psi boost no matter how hard I push it. My other 7.3s never had trouble getting hot egts and I would actually have to let off to keep them down. I've replaced the up pipe gaskets with the big chevy ones, fixed all boost leaks, turbo spins freely, , checked the hpop with snap-on scanner making hard runs which holds 2800psi easily, injectors have only 100k miles and pass CCT and buzz test, truck doesn't use oil, blow by does not move upside down cap off dip stick, no codes, tried another map sensor, new icp sensor, new ebp tube/sensor, new gaskets in hpop, done the hutch and harpoon mods deleting the pickup foot and screen, removed fuel check valves at heads, 60psi fuel pressure at the heads which have the Riff Raff r. return with an extra tee to tie both heads together with a mech. pressure gauge, 6637 intake, manifolds are on tight. Only thing left that I can think of would be compression, but truck starts quick, no smoke, runs great. Can not understand why I can't get over 1000 degress egt????
