It sounds like a brilliant idea, and that's what has made America great. Putting a truck/motorhome engine in a valuable classic car will turn the SEMA crowd on there ear, they will be playing catch up for years. Think of the donor base, it's huge. Bodie Stroud will be kicking himself for putting a Ford GT engine in his Starliner.

good point .
while you may find some idiot to buy it a few years from now for 1/2 of the money you invest in it, a restored 61 starliner will bring a lot more money from the bidding war when it goes up for sale.

^^^ He makes a good point! The 5.4 and 6.8 are identical, ones just got 2 more cylinders. If your going to build it, might as well build it right and fully forge the bottom end. Finding a forged crank will be problematic though...
After its forged, you can run nearly as much boost as youd ever need.

Being that the V10 is not produced anymore, I doubt there will be any improvement in available aftermarket products. If the aftermarket has jumped onboard by now after 14 years of production I see no reason to start now. V10's just never had that big a market and it's getting even less as time goes on.
