Adding a Subwoofer
If I keep the OEM headunit made for the "premium" setup. Could I add a thunderform sub? Basically, does the premium radio have a wire for the sub. I know the audiophile one has something of the sort, but will the premium one work.

No...you don't need to have the sub wire. It can be wired into the amp via the rear speaker wires...it won't sound as super crisp as if you had it wired through the pre-amp cables from an aftermarket unit, but none-the-less it sounds good. I have a Kenwood 400 watts amp and a JLAudio 10" stealth box in the back of mine wired through the rear speaker and it sound great...no noise. So it can and is often done.

I have mine wired to an amp with a line-out converter (RCA to line-level) and I can only turn the gain up to just about half way before I get horrible humming noises. There really is no way for this to be done well. The only solution is to get a new head unit, which I will be doing soon.
