Question Headlamp Replacement

My first post. Thanks in advance for any help. This might be an easy one (they seem to give me the most trouble), but I am having a heck of a time getting the headlight assembly out to replace a lamp. My only instructions so far are through the owners manual. Lift on the 2 "handles" and the assembly comes out the front of the truck. I can't even seem to lift one of the little "handles". 2000 Ford F150 X-cab 4WD.

Headlamp Replacement

Hey what's up bro....

they're pretty easy to take out once you can get the "handles" to break loose. Usually things like this are hard to dissassemble for the first time just like anything else.

But my advice would be to take a screwdriver and use it as a pry bar in a sense to stick under the "handle" and pull it out. The "handle" as they call it, runs all the way down the back of the headlight assembly which is what holds the whole thing in. But after you can get those out, just unplug the headlight and turnsignal wiring harnesses and you're good to go. the assembly should come forward out of the front of the truck grill.

Let us all know how it works out.
