My truck has blowby, what lead me to it was the CCV, the volume of vapors coming out had increased. I ignored it for awhile (couple months) then I just got worse and worse to the point where it looked like my truck was on fire, people were pointing and saying your smoking. I'd say yep i know. I use my truck for work and kept putting on miles, until finally I was smoking out 2 lanes of road 200' behind me, loosing oil out my pedestal orings, and my dipstick was forced out of the tube. That was yesterday. So she sits, I'm looking for a used running engine <200K, with no core.
Pushing the dipstick out the tube doesn't sound good. Any idea what caused the dead hole?
Not entirely sure.

I was kinda thinking that myself

Probably best if left unsaid.

Just wondering how old your suspect is. We don't hear about this much anymore so I'm sure things have been updated.
Besides, wasnt that issue mostly responsible for installing windows, not just a dead hole?
Led mod, LOL. Suspect was just updated, but there hadn't been any changes since last update, and had been a few times over the years.

i blew 2 gallons of oil out in 2 blocks... forced it right thru the turbo orings
It's not blocked, the smoke covering the road was coming out the CCV.
Update, picked up a new to me engine, 2002 (haven't checked for PMR's), 169K, out of a F250 that was totaled. It includes a 6 month warranty so if it doesn't pass the comp test on the stand, I will keep looking. I also picked up 6.0 intercooler and a van turbo that I plan to rebuild and use on this engine. I haven't pulled the engine from my truck yet, the fun starts next week. I figure this is one way to convert from E99 to late. The newish engine came with original turbo (now I have 3) and intake manifold on it, so the conversion is complete. Wish me luck.
