Fuel sending unit

The fuel sending unit is bad on my front tank. The one on the back tank works but there is a hole in the bottom of that tank. So I can't use the back tank. Can I take the sending unit off the back tank swap them out? Or are they different?

That's kinda what I thought. I saw that the part numbers were different but I was hoping they could be swapped.

I'd have to go outside and look but, I think the front tank has a 4" hole and the rear one has a 3" hole.

I've fixed tanks with JB Weld, Bondo, fibreglass or epoxy.

I've fixed senders with tubing and solder, tubing and glue, fuel hose etc.

The fuel level sender can be cleaned and resoldered (if needed) and the float can be replaced with floats from other senders.

They are nothing alike, the tanks have different dimensions so the units are tank specific.
