What I think is funny is that the D60 straight axle trucks I have had (Both the 02s and a 93 F250 that was converted D60 king pin) both rode smoother then the 89 F250 or 91 F250 that we have which have D50 TTBs. Got me on that one. The 89 feels like a damn tank.

Heck I would say the only thing I don't like about our 02 is the carpet. I wish it had vinyl but for the 2k-4K miles I put on it a year I don't mind especially since I don't drive it during the winter unless it is nice for a few days.
That's one benefit of having 12 vehicles never have to worry about miles racking up to fast on one of them. LOL

Lmao. We have 3 and the maintenance keeps me more than entertained.

Do you actually get snow in Snowflake? Its really funny, I actually just sold a cylinder head to a guy in Snowflake on the Ranger Station. The name made me laugh. The FedEx lady laughed even harder.

My cousin has a 97 F250 w/ 7.3L. He just bought a parts F350 with the ball joint D60 in it. He hates the TTB on a big truck because of the sag. Its just fine on the little trucks, but I wouldn't want an HD truck with it. Its just doesn't seem stable or smart to me. How Chevy has been getting away with it on everything since the 80s befuddles me....

Sure do all the time but not as much as where you guys are at.
Whom is the guy you sent it to I may know him?
May be the guy I keep buying these rangers from. LOL
Their is about 20 rangers out here that I see everyday (5 are the ones my buddy has and 2 are the ones I now have. That's quite a few for a small town.

Currently the guy I know has 5 rangers left. 2006 wrecked 4cyl (was going to take that engine and drop into the one I picked up but changed his mind), 2000 which is his daily driver 2wd, 1986 ranger 4x4 lifted 302 was in it but he needs a new engine, 1987 ranger 4x4 lifted had 351W in it but blew it up as it is his racing truck, and a 98 Ranger 2wd wrecked. The 98 engine was dropped into the 2000 and the 98 is now a parts truck. The 87 he lost the tittle to. I was going to buy the 1986 but it was a reg cab and didn't want to have a reg cab.

My brother's 91 F250 doesn't sag because of the 2inch front lift.

His name was Ross. He had a 96 with a cracked cylinder head and I had a spare in the shed. His thread was called 2.3L Headgasket or something.

I'm guessing they don't salt roads out your way. What do the summer temperatures reach?

My cousins is stock and he didn't want to change a thing until he could do an SAS. He got the parts truck so cheap and with matching gears the swap will be free.

I can't say I know him
Temps have only gotten to 105 here and that didn't last long.
No they don't salt the roads here any more. Now they use cinders.'
Lucky him to get that.

No problem and congrats My Ranger has the Dana 28 gears in in the Dana 35 housing and I am not thrilled by that. I'm glad my SD has the real McCoy

Here is a photo of the location on the pumpkin if anyone needs it. From this shot, you are looking forward. The front driveshaft is to the left of the photo. The axle build sticker is to the right. Note that the number "248" is upside down.

If anyone is looking for an exhaust for 99-04 Super Duty with 5.4L or 6.8L, Borla has a system on clearance. $486 for dual side exit is a pretty good price!

Not sure when I'll put the drive shaft bearing in, but I may look at the ABS sensors tomorrow night and Saturday morning. I need to have the truck ready for Sunday though so we will see. It's all weather depending too.

On another note, I am ordering new lift struts for my tonneau and I am going to try my hand at repairing the clear coat. I found a decent write up here: Camaro clear coat peeling, my quick fix

I am also going to start messing with some under rail bed lights. I found a suitable magnetic switch I am going to play around with. If I can get it to work the way I intend, I'll order some LED strips and do a little write up.

I found some interesting pieces to make a water proof fuse and relay panel. I'll post more on those later on.

Cool man what magnetic switch!? I could definitely use the bed rail lights on my truck.

What I am going to do for a fuse panel is I am using a case from Polycase.com and drilling holes then running grommets for the wire to keep the water out and then putting my blue sea fuse panel inside.

Here is the magnetic switch. I am going to test it and see if it fits the bill. I can tell you it is SPDT so you have NO and NC options on it. However, it will need an interposing relay to actually drive the bed lights.

Amazon.com : UTC FIRE & SECURITY 1076CW-N RECESSED STEEL DOOR CONTACT W/ WIRE LEADS, 3/4 DIAM., WHITE : Home Security Systems : Camera & Photo Amazon.com : UTC FIRE & SECURITY 1076CW-N RECESSED STEEL DOOR CONTACT W/ WIRE LEADS, 3/4 DIAM., WHITE : Home Security Systems : Camera & Photo

I was going to tuck one of these in there to drive the lights.

But I want to play with the switch first to find a good mounting location and see how well it actually works.

These are the fuse panel I found: Series 15300 RTMR

Bussmann RTMR 15303-2-2-4 Mini Fuse & Relay Power Distribution

Bussman Fuse/Relay Box (from WagonGear) & install in the WJ - Offroad Passport Community Forum

I will check out polycase today.

Wow those are nice, way more cost effective than polycase and a blue sea fuse panel. Wish i found those earlier before i got my stuff lol. Maybe it can be an upgrade in the future if i ever get any issues.

They aren't entirely more cost effective... You have to buy all the terminals, fuses, and seals. That makes it a little more pricey.... But I like the concept. And the pliers need to crimp the ends on the wires are like $80 lol.

I haven't decided what I want to do yet. I need to think on it. I like all the ideas, but I don't know what I want. Oh well, no hurry
