Hello from California

Hi everyone. Wanted to introduce and thank everyone for contributing to FTE.

After searching for many months, I bought a 2005 Excursion 6.0L Diesel. This is my first Diesel engine car and thanks to this site, I have hit the ground and learning a lot about this car.

Hi there Kyan Welcome to FTE. Congrats on the Excursion and your first Diesel. Soem people are scared of diesels because of some of the horror stories out there, but if you look after it, it will look after you.

I understand what you mean by there is a lot to learn from here at FTE, I too was amazed to see how the folks here in the FTE are such a knowledgeable bunch and are always willing to help a fellow Ford owner out with a question or to try and help solve a problem... it's pretty amazing.

You will have to take some pics and upload them to your garage and do go and join the Chapter for your area here and you will get to meet some of the fellow Ford owners from your neck of the woods.

Thank you all for welcome and help.
So far, after reading many 'how-to' post, I did the oil and fuel filter change in less than a hour! I am amazed how easy it was compared to other cars that I have experience with.
