Jeff, the written word sometimes makes it difficult to tell how someone really feels about what they are writing. The tone of your some posts about the Christmas party did have a grumpy tone. No one here is trying set up gatherings to exclude anyone. We go out of our way to include folks. Rather than complain about the distance, you might have asked if you could catch a ride or simply said "That won't work for me."
I miss gathering because of distance and dates. It happens to most of us. Lighten up and enjoy this group and participate in gatherings when you can.
If we have misunderstood your comments speak up and say so.
