Interior lights

OK, this is my 2nd 2006 Expy. First one was a company vehicle (EB) that I took to 95k and second one is a KR I bought with 95k. So here is the dumb question...are the any interior lights other than the ceiling lights? I have the moon roof and there are 2 map lights in the overhead, 2 for 2nd row and one in the cargo area. Nothing lights up in the footwells. Is there supposed to be footwell lights?

Thanks!
Chris

Yeah, was thinking about doing that. Where/want kind of lights are used? Just want a point in a direction to get some ideas.

Something like this tucked up under the dash on each side?

LED Light Modules | Accent Lighting | Super Bright LEDs

Found some LEDs and have on order.

Any ideas as to identifying the right circuit to tie in to so they illuminate when the door is open?

Any further ideas on what circuit to tap in to so a LED would illuminate when the door is opened? It looks like the lights are tripped by the door latch, but I don't know how exactly it works... Any help appreciated.

I also started a new thread over on the F150 forum to see if anyone knew there...

Depends where you're installing the LED. The interior light circuit can be access at many locations. So are you putting them up under the dash, overhead, in the doors, etc.?

Thinking under the dash on each side so they shine in the foot well. Pulled the.kick panel off tonight and there is a.ton of wires on the drivers side. Will look on the passenger side also and see if I can make better sense of the color codes.

For both sides, look for a black wire with a light blue tracer on it. That wire runs into the door and up to the puddle light on the exterior mirrors.

any luck on this? I have the leds but haven't set them up yet. I noticed when I open the door the puddle lights don't turn on. Not to sure why, I even tried to throw a shade over the light sensor thinking it might be sensitive to the sun

Haven't started this yet, now out of town...

My puddle lights on mirrors come on when door latch is tripped open. Do your interior lights come on with door open?

I don't think there is a light sensor, as the puddle lights illuminate during the day when door is opened or truck unlocked.

The puddle lamps are suppose to turn on and off with the interior lights.
