Front Brake pads

I have a 1977 Ford F-250 2 wd I am still running Asbestos front brake pads. What is the best front brake pad to get to get the best stopping effect as asbestos pads?

Carbotech Brake linings...they have a web site & IMHO call them as they are great to speak with!!!! I have run their linings for 20 years ever since velva touch originally went away in 1986

I first became aware of Carbotech through FTE and Beechkid--he swears by them despite their hefty entry cost. Being a bit too old skool maybe I've opted for NAPA's Ultra Premium for an upcoming brake upgrade, stock '03 E250 front brakes to the '08 and later larger rotors, calipers etc---these will be part of that swap.

LOVE the idea of Carbotech but oh my my---sticker shock!

My quoted price was just about $265 for a set fitting my '08 E250 brake upgrade. That included their core charge and shipping----for $150 it would have been a no brainer for me!
