!!!just Ordered My New Diablo!!!
I did it myself, had to clean the trk. cumputer 3x's, other then that it wasn't bad. had to remove the battery like directions say, but they didn't suggest to drill a hole in plastic battery case so you can get 5/16 socket with an extention on one of the bolts behind the battery on the trks. cumputer.
I have a 7700 that I think takes a different part number, but installation should be the same.

No need to get a professional. If you can turn a screw-driver you can install a chip module --- very simple.
The intake will not impact the chip at all.
There are occasional problem vehicles, its rare and its usually something like a dealer reflash, missing jumper on the port, etc.

Scare tactics. We've sold thousands without a single tranny failure and run them in our own vehicles.
What can blow a tranny is improper tuning (ie, what too firm a shift). We don't select hard shift tunes hence no problems exist. It takes a very hard shift on a high RPM application to cause problems.
No, the installation will not void the warranty. Its the same as any aftermarket part: installation will not void the warranty but naturally Ford is not going to cover something caused by an aftermarket part.
