Wow, that's about perfect. I'll already be well into my second set at that mileage.
I'm going to try to make it to March 2014 which will be two years but mine have
been wearing quickly.
I only have 20,000 on them and I doubt I'll make it to 30k.
I know of one set of Nitto Terra's (on a Dodge 2500) that made it to 60,000.
In fairness, those should have been replaced at 50,000 but even then that's still very good.
I realize that's one of those stories along the lines of "I tuned my truck and gained 20 MPG" but it's factual.
I'm sure a reg cab Dodge is lighter anyways.
I've always had good luck with BFGs. My last Super Duty got 60k out of the mud terrains, replaced with some all terrains, those had 50k on them when I sold the truck with lots of tread left. Problem I see here is the lack of choices for our plus size wheels. And yes, I drive like an old man.....
Toyo MT's are done. I got over 42,000 miles out of them and will get a new set shortly. They never needed a re-balance and only once did I put a plug into one of them. You can still see the siping marks from two years ago. Funny thing, the passenger side tires wear faster than the driver's side. Anyone else notice that?

i wouldn't let your wife know that the passenger tires are wearing faster than your side

When you get new tires fitted, with the wheel alignment get them to check that toe isn't too high on the passenger side. Even the slightest increase in toe can really exacerbate wear.

I've noticed the same thing. I contribute that to left turns are typically wider turns at a higher speed vs. right turns that are typically tighter turns at lower speeds.
I thought it's drive shaft torque, pushing down on the drivers side for better traction and lifting the passenger side causing it to slip and wear faster.
It's not the wife, but it could be the MIL.
For whatever reason the rear tires are wearing faster than the fronts and there is black bits all over the rear quarter panels. I just don't understand...
