Snagged another one!!!

Couple weeks back I snagged this up from out west. 78 F250 4x4 extra cab. Has a 4-53t Detroit, np435 and a watson 3 speed aux. NP205 case and dana 60s front and rear. I couldn't not buy it. Anyways here's a couple pics. All I've had to do so far was rebuild the watson and straight pipe it.

Watson before:

after:

quick video putting some miles on it after the aux rebuild and straight pipe.

That's way f'ing cool! AND a diesel!

Say, can you post up some pics of the tilt hood. I'm sure me and a few others are more than curious on how it is latched, guided, and hinged.

sure thing, hope these help. it's just 2 hinges bolted to the front bumper and the core support. they take a pin in the front and the whole thing can come right off. pretty simple and definitely home made. You can see the back part bolted to the bottom of the core in this pic

and here's what it looks like from the front.

Thanks Wayne. That's perfect. I was curious about the inner fenders and see it's only the liners that are used. Plus how the radiator was mounted. I get it.

Like they say... it's worth a thousand words.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!!!! I'm still looking for that ever illusive perfect truck that i can put my v6 Detroit in. I'm sure some day when I'm short on cash it'll turn up. I'd really have liked to have ThunderBeast's dually tow rig. I loved that truck.
