Looks good man!

That highboy is a beast, drive it till it falls apart, then put it back together!

I too like the idea of a long box supercab. The long box is just to darn practical and it's always nice to have the extra space in the cab.

My winter break was pretty eventful, unfortanatually I am sitting in English class again The first thing I did was take the tires off my Supercab because I needed them to bring my highboy home(it had some flat tires and was out of reach of the air hose). Wile I was takeing the tires off I found a use for younger brothers, when slave labor is needed..... I gave him the breaker bar and put him to work lol!

He got about 1 tire off with the breaker bar so I pulled out the impact and pulled the rest off.

Sorry about the fuzzy pics guys, had bad lighting

I finally got around to getting my highboy ready to come home. This is were it sat for god knows how long.

We threw a chain around the front axle and pulled it from its grave with my uncles 7.3L. This was a I thought would never come, it had been close to a year sense I had even seen this truck! We got it pulled up to the shop and changed a tire(only one tire needed to be changed). The truck his ready to come home we just ran out of time because we had a Christmas to go to. So here it sits at my uncles farm waiting to come home.

Yes those are bullet holes in the hood kinda sad but cool at the same time. We beat an opposing school in the state playoff football game back in 89' my uncle was a key player. That night some guys from the other school did a drive by and shot my uncles truck.

Hunter, i must say im jealous of the focus and drive that you possess at age 14......I didnt have the slightest clue of what i wanted to do at 14, other than hope that maybe a female classmate would take favorable notice of me!!!
The very fact that you are already well self taught regarding vehicles, and have a focus towards a promising career gives you an edge over those who are simply having fun all day long. You already have a nice fleet of old trucks, and you have set realistic goals for improvements on these trucks.......Good job!!!

Hay thanks for the kind words buddy! They really add to the drive for me to keep wrenchin! I've tryed haven a interest in my female classmates and I found most of them get jelious over how much time I spend workin on my truck and at work and not with them. So for now ill stick to my trucks till I find the one that loves (me) and my truck just as much as I do! Lol thanks again for the kind words! The REALLY mean alot to me!

Looking good man!

I wish I had a personal slave... err.. I mean little brother! I got a sister and if I gave her a breaker bar and told her change a tire she would say: "Yeah, funny. Now you do it or else!"

I just love that highboy, the battered old warhorse that it is. The chunk of the door hanging loose there cracks me up!

Keep up the good work man, your progress is putting mine to shame!

Haha I got three little brothers! Man they can be a pain!! I do wish I had an older sister, but then again being the oldest is kinda awesome!

As for the highboy I couldn't have described it better myself! Lol I'm gonna start calling it the battered old war horse! I wish I could fix it up, the problem is the frame is shot. It's rusted clean threw in many places and the leaf spring hangers are rusted threw as well. After I get my super cab fixed up I'd like to restore that one as well.

Thanks for the kind words buddy! And thanks for staying tuned!!

Well guys not much progress lately, still workin on bringing my highboy home, not much luck thow because of this crazy Michigan weather. We have a foot and half have of snow and the average tempature lately has been 8 degrees The propane tank to the furnace in my shop is empty and the trucks can't come to fill it because of snow and frost laws so not much work is getting done lol! Anyways wile I was stripping the interior I found this on top of the blower motor.

The original operators manual

I have read it probably 50 times, it's awesome! Everything is sooo simple!

Congrats! Finding your ORIGINAL Owners Manual is a major score. I've got mine and its really cool to read through. Keep looking and you may find your original build sheet (usually between the seat springs and cushion), warranty card, etc.

Finally back to work!

Well up here I think we are almost done with this crazy Michigan weather, of corse I probably just jinxed it lol. Up here it went from being 32 and windy as all get out on Saturday to 50 yesterday. It's supposed to stay in the high 40s the rest of the week. With that said I am motivated to work again! Last night I got the 77 frame pulled out of the weeds and up by the shop.

Tonight I am gonna be cleaning the shop, putting the tires back on the Supercab and stripping the rest of the cab.

It's nice to have friends with tractors! I am going to get everything ready to go and my buddy is going to bring a tele handler over and we are going to pull the axles out from under the 77 frame and lift the Supercab off. The next step will be rebuilding the axles.

Change to the build plan

I decided that I will be taking the axles from under the 77 frame and putting them under the Supercab frame instead of stretching the the 77 frame.

A few weeks ago I got the doors off the Supercab, somehow..... I have a little problem though. The bolts were so rusted on that I broke all of the bolts that mount the door hinges to the cab. So my problem is that the bolts are broken off in the plate that is in the inside of the cab. I am stumped on how to get to those plates to get the broken bolts and fix them. Any ideas?
