water?

I have had in the past a reduced engine power light come on and was told to drain fuel water separator and it would go away and it did. Now it is coming on and that wont fix it long term.Could I have gotten really bad fuel which should be gone by now and I changed fuel filters or is it something else?

thanks guys
Michael

Did you purchase fuel at the same place as your last batch?

I would drain the pump, pull the cover that the drain is attached to and check for waxy type buildup, and if there isn't any I would replace the sensor. I would also replace the filter if I was in there, in fact I would probably replace the sensor whether there was gunk in there or not.

Pull the top mounted (on the engine) fuel filter and inspect the fuel bowl. Any debris/metal or rust and you are through and need to have the system completely flushed and a new HPFP.

Water is a very bad thing so you need to not drive it and get to the bottom of it. Don't wait.
