Well, I was in a dry mud pit and not going fast at all, then its a loud mean grinding noise. I put tranny in N , no change, then shut her down, get out see liquid dripping, pop hood, AND ther lays the batter in/on the fan. Yard it back to its home, luckily all damage was done to the wires (for headlights.
should put that strap on there eh.

Dont feel too bad. Once upon a time I put a radiator hose on not quite right and the first bump (on pavement nevertheless) I hit, the hose got into the fan. It was the top hose and I didnt have it turned over far enough and I also didnt have a fan shroud either. Just remember: If it can happen, it will.
