Scan gauge 2

Just curious how many run them on there 7.3? And what all can you monitor? It's highly recommended in the 6.0 forum. Didn't know what advantage us 7.3 owners would gain. I have a triple pod with egt, boost, and tranny temp right now. My truck is higher mileage so it probably would be nice to start eyeballing some numbers.

Here are the 7.3-specific programmable x-gauges:

Engine Oil Temperature
Injection Control Pressure
Fuel Pulse Width
Mass Fuel Desired
Volume Fuel Desired
Exhaust Back Pressure
Manifold Air Temperature
IPR Duty Cycle
Boost

Many of the standard pre-programmed gauges work as well.

Here is what I normally monitor:

An advantage is with the Scangauge II you have a gauge system which will assist in troubleshooting no start - slow start - etc. And it can be moved from vehicle to vehicle.

Mine works great for water temp her is the Xcode for water temp:

Coolant Temp:
TXD: C410F1221139
RXF: 046205110639
RXD Engine: 3008
MTH: 00010002007F
NAM: ect

The value displayed by this XGauge is only valid after the coolant temperature gets above 127* F. Before the engine is warmed up the displayed value will go up to 255 this about double actual then start over at 127. This is becasue this PID is scaled for two different ranges. It works good on my 2000 7.3 and seems to be accurate. This has been a long sought after XGauge for the 7.3 crowd for quite some time.

Same one I use for my ECT on a 2001 7.3 automatic. Reads the same as yours; effed up until 127°F.

Mine monitors exactly what honeydew's does.

I bought it because I was going to buy a 6.0 and ended up not getting one.

It's definitely a good tool to have though. I've heard good things about the Aeroforce gauge as well.
