When looking for parts for your 48-50 f1's do you guy's know of
good web site's or catalog's, I got some parts for LMC truck but
they don't have the FORD emblem's I need. (the square one on the hood
both sides) thanks ken
I have been real pleased with Dennis Carpenter out of Concord NC (their shipping is real cheap for over $100 purchase). I have also purchased from Mid Fifty Auto Parts out of AZ and MACs Auto Parts out of NY. All are online and all will send a free paper catalog. All have similar prices, but do vary with same part and sometimes one will have what another does not. I think I got most replacement emblem badges that I used from Carpenter for my 55. Both Carpenter and MidFifty have been very good at answering parts questions - I've used Carpenter by phone and MF online for specific questions.
Most of the repo parts are produced for Dennis Carpenter though others might also sell them. Watch your shipping costs and don't forget about using NAPA for generic stuff.

X2 on shipping costs. Some of the suppliers really hammer you. I've been real happy with MidFifty.
Just a comment about MidFifty, I hear they are excellent but they specialize in 53-56. On the other hand the related Classic Haulers specializes in 48-52. I was told the two are owned by different parts of the same family.

Ken, I have a lot of smaller used parts from trucks that I've parted out. The FORD hood side emblems are not reproduced. I have a few pairs of them, plus other trim and odds and ends.
