Steering on 37's

I'm wondering if those running 37's are having any problem with steering? Or finding it harder to turn? I am thinking of going with 35's and a carli leveling kit (pintop) or the backcountry 2.0 4.5" lift. This is going to be a daily driver for me. If the steering is going to become an issue, such as turning in and out of tight spots then I will probably go with the leveling kit even though I can get more lift for less. Any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Are you saying you have 37's and have problems? If so, you've got some sort of legitimate problem. You shouldn't notice any issues steering with 37's.

That said, as a daily driver you'll probably be more livable and definitely economical with 35's.

No problem unless your wheel/tire (offset) configuration causes rubbing on vehicle parts. In terms of effort, well as long as the power steering is working then no problem. (And if you don't have power steering and you have hydroboost brakes (2011) that might not be good either.)

Well I have a 2013 and i was going to go with 20x9 offset 0. Im only asking cause I dont want to listen to the wife complain if anything has change to the way the truck turns so easly now. I would go with the 35's but I think they might be to small for the lift maybe ill try to go through the forum and find some pictures.

I made a 180 on a backed up 2 lane highway today after the fire truck and ambulance went by (obvious I was going to be there a while). I did a better job at one shot then the Honda in front of me did on a 3 point turn (I'll make no gender comments here). Running 35's on a 4" lift. As Firekite & Trent mentioned, should be no problem or difference as long as there are no rubbing issues. I feel like I turn a little better than stock, but probably making that up in my head because I'm sitting 7" higher off the ground...

Jstn, try Truck Toyz Performance for ideas. They have one of the best picture galleries I've come across for ideas:

I have the exact setup carli4.5" lift with 35's and carli steering stabilizer on top and double lower stabilizers from Icon. It steers like butter and never walks. The 35's do look too small and I will be going back with 37's when 35's are done. I don't think you have anything to worry about with 37's.

I'm in the same boat as you agent 7.399. My 35's are a little lost in the wells with the Rancho 4" (came out more like a 6"). I'm in the process of new springs up front and blocks in the rear (compliments of Rancho) which will drop front & rear another 1.5 to 2". Thinking the tires will compliment the new height a little betta...

7.399 do you like the set up? I'm still trying to figure out which way I'm going. Found out I have 3.31 gears in the truck so I'm thinking 37 will be a little to much now.

I love it. WAY better ride and handling than stock. These things have so much power the 3:31's will have plenty of power. If your dealer will do it for you have them tell the computer it has 3:55's and set it to the biggest tire they can and your shifting and speedo will be very close.

Yes, I have the 4.5" performance 2.0. I've had it 2 yrs an still love it.
Edit: correction, when I got mine it was the progressive add a pack not the full spring pack. I don't think they had the full spring option back then.
