While I'm not opposed to this idea...it won't be at my house. The City of FSM...especially the FSFD...strongly disproves of bonfires in the city. And since my house is well within the city limits....no bueno. Now at a Corp of Engineer or State Park...if there's interest I'll do my best on the foot work to get one started. This all assuming the wife & I don't win the Powerball anytime soon. If we do, then we'll move it to the new estate!
For the record I meant for the bonfire idea just to be some spur of the moment thing.. probably at my house.. in the sticks..

For the official GTG in March, I am open for suggestions. In fact I meant to start a thread just for this.

Joe, I'm right around the corner from McRae, where are you?

Busy as hell with a touch of lazyness.

I can supply a pallet party. Would need to borrow a trailer.

The squat was 530lbs. It was the deadlift that was 630. I appreciate the compliment. I finished first in my age bracket, second in my weight class, and fifth overall. Out of 49 lifters. Not bad for a broken down old man at his first powerlifting meet.

As it happens I recently had the opportunity to lift a bare 7.3 block. I would guess its in the 350-400 lb range.

Speaking of...... My engine build is plodding along slowly. The long block is assembled. Injectors and valve train buttoned up. Front cover and both oil pumps are on. Just need rear cover and main, oil pan, exhaust manifolds, and the fuel system on top and she'll be ready to go back in the truck. Hopefully I'll have some time Saturday to finish assembling. Gotta find and fix a fuel leak on a 5.9 CRD first.

Really hoping Mother Nature plays nice this weekend. The last four weekends it has rained on Saturday. While I realize we need the rain, this beautiful weather during the week and crappy stuff on the weekend is getting very old.

I don't know the guy all that well. It's one of those "church friend" favors........ And the guy has shown up and helped me out a couple of times while my truck has been down. So I owe him.

I've been completely honest with him. I told him the Cummins is a fine engine. It's only problem is it has a Dodge truck wrapped around it.

I don't know who else keeps up with high school football...but there was a great game last night at FSM Southside when Greenwood came town. Unfortunately Greenwood's 45 game win streak is now 46.

I bet I could come up with it something that size.

One of the guys at work bought a brand new one in June. He keep telling me for months he was going to buy a Ford this time around...went to the dealership with his buddy and they saw his old truck and made him an offer he couldn't refuse...or so he claims. I will say they're really quite and it looks nice. But I've been around enough to know before he sees 100k he's going to need a new front end and will be surprised if the tranny makes it that long. Oh well, it's money not mine.

Anytime I thought one of those would work out good for you.

There's still room to upgrade there too if you decide you want a bigger hard drive or something, or hook it up to the big screen.
