Price is very good for what it is, who would 4WD with it anyway? Needs some work is somewhat concerning. If it was local I would check it out and might purchase if not in that of bad shape. I think it would look better without the weird back topper ... also what's up with the front tires. Looks like a teen party truck at first glace, which usually is a bad deal.
Teen party truck??!? Centurions were the penultimate "get off my lawn" old guy conversion. I'll bet a nickel there's a CB radio in it. This is one of the few you'll find without grampa graphics.
Front tires look stock to me. And the "weird" topper is quite standard for the vintage of truck. That extra height comes in real handy, esp. when you're actually camping in it rather than just using it for covered storage.
Why wouldn't you want 4x4? Maybe you're equating "4WD" with "off road". BIG omission; for those of us who live where there's real weather, 90% (probably closer to 99%) of the need for 4x4 is ON the road. This truck would be no exception.
But yeah, agreed, that "needs some work" is one of those rabbit-hole phrases, esp. since there's WAAAY too little other info in the ad.
you wouldn't take that one out in winter.too rare and too nice to feed it to the salt.
even if she was a 4x4 it wouldn't go worth a lick anyway.you can't park it anywhere and move it in and out of places easy.
out on the open sunny hwy towing a 5ver or toy hauler is where this one belongs.seeing the world and having fun.i'll take two please, just as long as someone else is buying the fuel.
What a LAND YAGHT. I dont even know what you would do with it. It has to weigh at least 8500lbs and the GVW is 10,000. Then put in 6 adults and you are capable of having NOTHING in the bed
I see quite a few PA guys on here - I say we all pitch in and own it like a timeshare. everyone gets a few weeks to a few months per year with it. or we can all get in at the same time and drive around! :-)
and yeah, 8500 isn't bad for 200k miles, but the 'needs work' work turn me off, as my current truck needs plenty already.
people at work make fun of me for my "hillbilly limo" already - i'd love to roll up in that thing...
