im in the process of redoing my harness for my truck. ive deleted all emissions things and pretty much matches what is on oldfuelinjection.com site. I understand the different sensors tell the computer how to change fuel and timing, but im trying to find out what certain other things are for like if the computer really needs to know if fuel pump is really running, does it just turn on mil light or tell the computer to change things, or the vss, some cars it interacts with cruise control, timing, and electric fan. ive found info on some sensors but not all, or the info is just to general, ive searched other ford forums like stang, and fsb. im sorry im the type that wants to know how things operate, what causes things to break or wear out, and how to prevent or fix them

This book is what I use, it's very good. I have the older version, this is a newer updated verson.
You will probably get a code 59 if you do not use the wire going to the fuel pump circuit. Other than a diagnostic thing, I am not sure why they installed that wire and that circuit.
