Wow! Such a warm welcome! :O Thanks guys for the kind comments!
Also, my dad and I share the F150. I'm currently doing my research and waiting for the right time to buy a really good '97 F350 Powerstroke. Love the sound of those older powerstrokes. But I has big plans for that beast once I get it.
Speaking of which, does anyone know if you can just put dual rear wheels on a truck that came with a single rear wheel rear end? If I remember correctly, that'd be just a matter of acquiring a set of said duals and the inner one should have a certain piece that connects the outer tire to the inner tire? I dunno. Either that or if worse comes to worse just get a pair of studs meant to mount dual rear wheels on a truck? that would seem more plausible.

Hmmm yeah that grandpa color can be kind of slow! haha
Let us know when you are ready to buy! We will be glad to help spend your money!!
You can mount dual wheels but if you swap axles they have to be the same ratio as the front if it is 4x4. Anything can be done. I would first try and find a original dually myself. Would be easier.

Good morning everyone. I just requested to join the Minnesota chapter of FTE. I'm Drew, 19, and I live in Savage, MN but my heart still resides on a piece of land between Windom and Worthington on a farm place my grandparents on my dad's side farmed and raised my dad and my aunts and uncles.
My grampa bought a '47 Ford 1 and a half ton work truck with a grain box/dump bed on it brand new back in '47 and wore out many a flathead v8s in it with trucking, using it for farming and what not. My dad's first truck was a '74 F-100 XLT Ranger that came with (I THINK) a 360 in it (don't qupte me on it, not sure if the top of my head if that was a Dodge-exclusive motor or not) but it was a dog and had a lot of problems so my dad swapped that with a 390 from their old Mercury car that was just sitting out in the grove. But now, my dad and I share a 1996 F-150 XLT 2wd extended cab with an 8 foot bed. Has 217,000 miles and some change on the engine it came from the factory with but she's getting tired so I'm saving my nickles and dimes right now to rebuild the engine and trans. and getting her running like a song.
Anyway, hope I'm not breaking any rules or what-not just thought I'd introduce myself as another fellow Minnesota Ford truck lover. Hope you all have a nice day! I'm goin to help harvest some corn!

Good morning everyone! Have a fun trip Jay! Where are you headed?
Drew ... it's too late. You've already opened the flood gates. Watch the Craigslist posts stop popping up.
I'll start it off for ya...
