At least you didn't order and pay extra for the block heater only to not get one! After 3 years, I still never addressed that one with the dealer.

Anyway, no more "just buy the cord" deal for the 6.7 like it was with the 6.0 and 6.4. Just as the picture above shows, you only get a plug from the factory and have to purchase the element and cord to the tune of more than $130 if I remember correctly. In certain regions, the block heater comes standard, but otherwise it is optional.

The 2011 and newer 6.7L's Do Not come standard with Heater elements. Only 15 "cold Weather" states have the Block heater come standard. The element and cord will run about $140.00 bucks plus installation. I will probably never use mine but I am glad I have one.

It was definitely listed as an option on my '11. I do have it.
