Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I am a new member and have some questions that I feel wouldnt be answered correctly from a biased salesman (of course they tell you the best and what you want to hear so they make a sale) I will be purchasing a 2013 F-250 XLT 4x4 Crew Cab Short Bed with the 6.7 in the next few months. What I use the truck for is daily city/hwy driving, occasional mud bath, tow a 30ft travel trailer atleast once a month for 9 months of the year, location is the high desert of central oregon so we have many weather and temp fluctuations. My primary concern is a sweet spot between mpg, towing, and performance. Ok so with that said, here are my questions...
-Non limited slip vs Electric Locking Differential
-3.31 gears vs 3.55 gears
*Keep in mind I will be running a 17" or 18" wheel with a 35" tire*
*also I will be adding a leveling kit or a mild 3-4" lift*
*also I will be adding an intake, exhaust, and programmer*
Thanks for the info guys. Oh and from the other forums I have seen, there have been several questions posted all over regarding my questions. It seems people dont give direct responses and they turn into wheel threads. So please keep responses directly related to the questions so I can have the most effective help.
Dunno if this will help or not. I tried to find the 2013 towing guide, but the closest I got was the 2012 one. It might help you decide which differential and rear end suit your needs. Here is the link http://www.hillerford.com/resource_l...wing_guide.pdf
thanks for the flier. it only shows towing poundage which is the same between the 3.31 and the 3.55. doesnt show any mpg and doesnt talk about the differentials either. Thank you though
