Most of you guys and girls aren't old enough to have seen one of these or even recall them being manufactured. They were mass produced and sold in Mexico. They were the closest thing to a Ford Excursion that Ford was manufacturing in the mid 1970s. (And keep in mind that Mexico also had the only 2006 Ford Excursions.)
First thought come to mind, it looks like a hearse (truck version)
I have seen this one on here before. Ya way cool. Not sure about Brazil but Argentina
will not allow autos to leave there country, or at least be sold to the US of A. According to ND Bill.
There are so many cool rigs south of Panama it's staggering. There are 50's and 60's and 70's style trucks built new up into the 90's that I know of.
It's nothing to call a cab and have a 54 Chev Bel air show up. So freaking cool I think. I so much
want to go down past Mexico and check it out.
What a cool site. I went to the home page after a while and spent like an hour watching vid's of crashes.
Bookmarked it so I can spend a few more hours on there. The really good stuff is what comes up after watching
the featured video.
Thanks for the plug. I run "Caught at the Curb", and the very last picture in the series you linked to is the panel verson of the truck pictured in the original post, albeit a bit newer. That truck is identified as a "Ford B-150". I'm not sure what the passenger version is called, but I really like it!
Here's another one that I just added to that posting... I found this on Google Earth Street View.
Mexico gets a 2 door Dodge Durango... the old body style, it's called the "Ramcharger" like the ones they made back in the 80's. I had one Loved my Ramcharger
Lol cool site. And yeah with the new diesel craze in the USA supposedly on the horizon and the Ram 1500 for sure getting a diesel I think we'll start to see the huge giant SUVs make a comeback and re-live the late 90s/early 2000s. So get ready for the soccer moms back behind the wheels of these things they have absolutely ZERO business driving. Yay...
count me in for one, 4x4 390 and c6 please and thanks
Since we are going old school I would take one with a 460 and a t-18 or Np435, np205 t-case, dana 60 rear, dana 44 reverse rotation front would be adequate.
