My dad just bought a 95 F-150 4x4 5 speed 302 and it has this howling noise coming from the tranny or transfer case almost sounds like it is in 4 low and whining but the transfer is in 2 high and ya can feel a lot of vibration in the 4x4 **** stick. i was wondering if any of ya might now what this may be we checked the fluid because it does have a leak where from we do not know yet he has only had it 3 days he got it cheap so he is not bitching i would just like to fix this for him........thanks

 

The Mazda M5OD is known to be sensitive to fluid loss/contamination, so get a competent transmission mechanic to check it before it gets any worse.
