After putting my truck in storage, i received my Equus 3145. Low and behold, I threw a rod in my winter car so I had to go get my truck. I decided to throw the tester on it and received two codes. I tried to search for them but it gave me so many results for any post with the word code in it.
I received two codes:
65 which is the E4od overdrive cancel switch not changing state.
74 Brake on/off switch fault, not activated.
The overdrive seems to be operating normally and hitting the brakes cancels the cruise. So i am a little confused as to what i need to do if anything?
sounds like you did the KOER test and you didn't press the od cancel button and press the brake pedal when you should have.
iv never had to do a KOER test for anything before,so im not familiar with it myself.i always find everything i need KOEO.

thanks for the response. I just ran the tests as the book said just ot see what it would show. I wasn't having any problems so i guess im OK. The book only gives instruction to WOT when doing KOEO. No instructions about the OD button or the brake.
yeah you should be good with engine off.it should just beep/blink 11 = system pass if the od light isn't flashing.or rather actually show you code 11 since it's a digital unit.
you'll know when she's tossing a code (or more) cus the od cancel light will flash and depending on what the reason is,this also might (most often does) send full line pressure and she'll shift a bit late and extra hard.you won't miss when the code reader needs to be used.
i guess this wasn't the case on the older 8th gen trucks.when they tossed codes im not sure when you knew you had to read the codes.just the firm shifts maybe? i dunno.with our 9th gens, you can't miss that all too common occurrence lmao.
