90 F-350 Engine Temp

I have a 90 F-350 with a 7.3 with a manual temp gauge. Running no load the A/C off or on it runs about 190 deg. Pulling a 7500 lb trailer its running 205 -210 A/C off. Ive asked several people how hot the truck should run no one seems to know.
Hmmmmm anyone?

Thanks
David

Hello, Welcome to FTE!

Your truck will always run hotter with a load. Your engine temperature is a balancing act between heat production, radiator capacity, coolant flow, and ambient temperature. The thermostat just sets a minimum temperature.

That seems to be a real good temperature, I would be happy

The thermostat is 195. 210 on the hills is nothing to be alarmed about as long as it comes down on the flats to 195 to 200 or so.
