05 F350 transfer case issues
Last winter I was driving my 05 F350 around in the snow and noticed I didn't have any front wheels spinning. I was only using the switch on the dash, so I decided to lock the hubs in and try that. It didn't work either. I wasn't sure why. Someone told me that it could be a vacuum leak, but I thought I would start with the AE and see if there were codes. I pulled 2, a P1832, Transfer Differential Lock Solenoid, and a P1876, Transfer 2-wheel drive solenoid. I have been searching for a schematic to see where these are but can't seem to find one. Does anyone know where these solenoids would be located, and what would cause them to fail? I rarely engage the front end but would like to make sure its fixed before elk hunting rolls around. Any help is appreciated.
