has anyone used any bulbs on the market that are actually worth a crap?? I'm looking for a bulb that is white, not that dark blue crap. anyone with any experience with some bright white bulbs please drop a line with what brand you have and what you think of them
Agree with smcdon. I just replace the stock in my little ranger with the Silverstars and was really impressed. Not only did it give me better visiability as the driver but it made the truck really stand out when your looking at the front. Have even been told that by others that see it at night.
Where did you get your lights? I have some import lights that were like 50-60 bucks and they are worth $@#! I would like to get some true white lights not these blue ones that I have.
I picked mine up at a local custom shop. Classic Customs. They have a web page but it isn't maintained so I don't know what to tell you... You might try God Fathers or even the FTE store. I don't think that Ken has them but it might be worth trying..
I have the SilverStars in my wife's Expedition and the PIAA Extreme's in my F250. They both rock, but the Sylvanias are much less $$. I have seen the SilverStars here in WalMart and in the local Auto Stores - just check around.
The Sylvania SilverStars will blow you away. They are AWESOME. When I installed mine, I did a test by just replacing one and turning on the lights - BIG difference. I HIGHLY recommend them. I got mine at Walmart for I think $30 for the pair.
I liked them so much I bought the SilverStar sealed beams for my 84 Bronco as well. I just can't say enough good about them!
I got all PIAA's on my lights. I think the upgrade was well worth it. They are expensive though. I need to get the headlight relays done. Got to get this custom Diablo Delta dialed in first so he can install the switch on the dash too. Electronics shop is only charging $60 for the relay job. He's installed all my electical stuff. It's a do-it-yourself job. The voltage meter only registered 10.8 at the headlamp while the battery is 12.4. His clear fuse box that holds the 2" fuses looks nice too.
My local Wal-Mart has the Sylvania Silverstars, I think they are P/N 9007, for $38. I looked at them for a long time yesterday. I really wanted them, but I did not buy them. Not yet, anyway.........
