So my transmission is intermittently leaking alot of transmission fluid from between the block and the transmission or it appears to be atleast. It first became a problem when i drove 150 miles with a trailer it was practically pouring out. We dropped the transmission since we thought maybe the forward seal had blown, it didn't and the torque converter was also in good shape. Stupidly enough we didnt change the forward seal but we changed the back. And now i still get intermittent leaking but not nearly as bad when i went on my long journey from home.
So is there anything else i should be looking for?

If the front seal was leaking that bad(before you pulled the tranny), you should be able to see that excess in the housing when you got it out..
If it wasn't coming from there, I would check to see if a line, O-ring around the filler tube,etc..was leaking..
Check the vent tube and make sure it doesn't have mud,etc in it..
At least if you have to pull it again, you'll know how to....Trav.
Yes, you should have changed the front seal. Are you also checking the tranny fluid level when it's warmed up(driven some), on level ground and the engine idling? Make sure it's not too full of fluid.
And you should also put a aux tranny cooler on it if you are going to be pulling trailers on a regular basis.
