Does anyone know of a good way (not a resister gimmick) to cheaply get more HP and torque from a 2007 5.4L fx4. I want to pull my camper and boat at same time.

You owe it to yourself to call Mike Butler @ 5 Star Tuning. Mike is a site sponsor here and is a SCT Dealer and certified tuner for their products. He can email you tunes for your truck after purchase of the handheld programmer, or you can make a trip to his location in the SouthEast and he can dyno tune your truck for a fee.
I have 3 of his tunes, and they are great. The 93 Octane Tune is a frickin riot! but I cannot seem to keep my foot out of it, so we backed the tune down some and I'm running 89 octane. The combination of increased power and a drastically improved shift strategy make the truck much more fun to drive.
beech has a good point...new ring and pinon would go good as well...you'd loose some top end and mileage maybe but you would have no issues getting the load going...
