Securilock Key

Are the securilock keys water resistant? When boating, I usually keep my vehicle key in a zipped pocket. Would it be a problem if I take an unexpected dip?

Securilock Key

Recently I left my key and remote entry module in my pocket and the wife washed it. The key worked fine but it was a week before the remote started working again - both OK now.
