hello all..i have a 2001 f-150 that the rear axle needs to be changed..when i bought the truck..i went to get the parts that i needed but the parts store told me that the axle under my truck was not the correct axle for that model..the axle tage reads s919f 3L55 9.75 1B07..can anyone tell me what this axle actually came out of so i can get the correct parts
Just go by the tag and get that axle. There seems to be a lot of confusion when buying rear end parts. Compare the length and spline count of the new vs.old. Compare the OD of the axle area that rides on the bearing/seal. Also call a few places to get information. Good Luck!
