I just put a deposit on my new - used - 2007 F350 6.0. I am coming from a 2006 F-250 regular cab XL gas 5.4 (death wobble truck) to the super cab long bed lariet (hoping not a death wobble truck). I thank everyone for all the time and effort that they have put in to the what to look for sections and all the tech articles. I am looking forward to the add ons and hopefully will get away with no big issues. The truck has 57000 issue free miles and is all stock. I am assuming I will be on here more often now so I thank everyone ahead of time for all their help and answering my stupid questions that have probably already been asked! I think my first mod will be the coolant filter. The truck will be used for hauling my sled trailer and car trailer, hoping to be able to pull my backhoe with it (case 580), am going to do some digging and see what people are really getting out of their trucks for towing capacity with a goose neck. Thanks
Congrats on the new ride. A Case 580 can be anywhere from 14 to 17k depending on 2 or 4 wheel drive, cab or canopy, extend a hoe or not. I am a Ford 555 4 sticker fan....
Get the Blue spring mod and a monitor while your at it , you will behappy you did
Well I have not even heard of that one yet -- i will have to look into tat too! My list is getting long. I think high idle is up there on my list too as all my cars tend to idle alot. I "quick" stop some places almost never ends up being quick. Looks like there is a few ways to do it I think I will do the ebrake method as that is what I am used too in the fire service. My Case 580 is about 14K....
