I am a new member here. I have just returned to the truck family. I just traded my 1995 T-bird for a 1995 F-150 XLT Extended cab. How have I lived with out a truck for so long. I just traded yesterday, but I am already in love with it. I found this site while doing research at work, thats my story and I am sticking to it. I read several of the post here and knew I had to join. This is a great site and I already have one question to ask all of you, thanks for all the help. I will post it in the proper place. Once again, great site. Looking forward to joining the ranks of fellow ford lovers. Tbird46
Thanks, I know I already have started to think of things to do to my truck, of course my wife has already said, now that you have a truck I need some things hauled off around here. Man now I know why women love truck driving men. But really, I am having to get used to being able to see over small imports now. COOL.... Thanks tbird46
Thanks for the welcome, it sure feels good to back in a truck. I have to get use to sitting up in the clouds compared to the t-bird. I agree that T-birds are great cars. I have owned several . a 64, 83 turbo coupe, 85 turbo coupe and the 95 LX 4.6 . I loved that bird but I sure like being able to carry every thing in one trip now. I can carry the family and my stuff at the same time. My F-150 is a 302 so I didn't give up the V-8. I know what you mean about this forum. I have learned a lot just looking through the different sections. Thanks again. P.S. If you don't mind you can keep all the rain in TX . We are about to float off here in AR. That's another great point for the truck..not as low to the ground as the T-bird.

btw, look for:
oil pan rust (our 96 developed rust @ 62k miles or so)
radiator plastic side seam leaks esp. during engine cool-down period/overnight (@ 60k miles)
rust in inner rear fender lips and bottom of tailgate (better than prev years, but ck anyhowz)
yo retired...I had my knee replaced too; and I find that the Bronco is ezier to mount and dismount than a car.
Thanks for the tips, I Will check them out this weekend. So far I haven't been surprised. It was a one owner local truck all highway miles and I knew who the owner was. I have encountered one problem though. The color of my truck might get me in trouble. I have had several ladies stop me in the parking lot and ask about it. My wife is not sure if that is such a good thing. I told her she was much better looking than any of them ( which she is) and that hepled but I am afraid she will not let me out on my own much now. I am not sure what ford called the color it is a sort of gold/bronze/copper metal flake , has the factory side steps and a camper to match. I was very lucky to get it. I only gave $2,500 and a wore out tbird for it. It looks like new.
I know what you mean about getting in and out. An old back injury from my military days was starting flair up again. The truck is much better on my old back. Thanks again, sorry about the long speech, but hey when ya got such a cool truck ya got to say something.

Thanks, I put it to good use this weekend. My mother needed stuff moved form old house to new house so guess who had the new truck? I can see why I missed a truck so much. Mine has a nice Leer camper on it so I can just throw everything in the back and not worry, talk about trunk space... man... Green Meanie sounds like your truck has had some down time. Hope it is better.. Thanks again..

I fixed the indicator this weekend, the cable had slipped off the bottom of the indicator. Thanks for all the advise and help. It made it a lot easier knowing what to look for.
Like I said, what a great site.
Thanks
