2005 Expedition

I have a 2005 Expedition. Both the black and gray vacuum lines have been cut. Where do they connect to? Also, what are these two lines for?

To which black and gray vacuum lines are you referring?

Vacuum hose

They're the two that come out of the firewall, Passenger side.

At what point along their path are they cut? Can you post pictures?

Expedition

It's about 4 inches from the firewall. Tried to attach picture but I don't know how. I can send an image on a regular email

Had trouble viewing that picture here. I went into your profile and found it but it's too small to see much.

What can cause for the heater control valve to not work. It used to open to release hot air and closes for cold air when temp control is change from hot to cold and vice versa. It doesn't do that anymore. I just replaced it and still the same. Also, it only blow through defroster vent. Help. FYI, I connected the gray line to the HCV.

There is a break or crack in your main HVAC line. There is one behind and under the battery that is the usual culprit.

I checked behind the battery and there's this box looking thing under the plastic case the battery is sitting on. I did try to check or open it. There's one issue that I found though The part where the black vacuum line attach to is crack. It's so brittle that when I try to remove it it broke into pieces. Will this be the issue? The little box that I mentioned, what is it for? On the broken part, I temporally replaced it with a "T" tubing but it did not fix the problem. Attached is pics of the part I am taliking about

It's the black one. Also, what goes on the white line? Thanks for your help

Another issue I am having with my 05 Expedition is that the air blows from the defrost vent only. I've check all the vacuum lines under the dash and all look ok and connected. Help

Air from defrost only is a vac leak, a common area is around the battery tray.

05 Expedition Vaccum Line Set up

Do you or anyone who owns an 05 Expedition share a photo or photos of how the vacuum lines (black and gray) are set up? I know the gray goes to the heater valve but does it go from the firewall to heater valve or it goes to one of the line (see attached pictures) Thank you.

I do not see any leak on my 05 expedition but somehow it looks like it's losing coolant. I filled the reservoir then after a few days it's low again. Help
