Engine oil Dipstick

How many quarts are in between the bottom and the top of the cross-hatch area?

Tempted to say 1 quart. I was just topping mine off yesterday and it was well below the crosshatch, after pulling and reinstalling injectors. Took 2 quarts from just on the dipstick to the top of the crosshatch.

Someone will chime in to confirm.

Just went out and checked my oil! It says on the dipstick that "add mark denotes 2 quarts down". The add mark is at the bottom of the cross hatch. Thanks for the reminder, I was going to check it this weekend and forgot!
